Welcome Andrew Henry!

METS is thrilled to announce the hiring of Andrew Henry, who will be our Advisor in the Central, Nokomis, and Searsport schools. Andrew will be in schools soon, but until then, here is a small blurb he wrote to introduce himself:

I graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, and from Husson University in 2014 after completing the Secondary Pathways Teaching Certification Program. In addition, I taught high school English in the Academics program at Hancock County Technical Center from 2014 to 2016. My experiences working with many potential first-generation college students led me to seek out opportunities in the world of college-access programs like TRIO. One of my professional goals has been to help students find success in a post-secondary educational environment, and I’m thrilled to start doing that as a METS Advisor.

METS is now hiring!

The Maine Educational Talent Search is now hiring for two positions. Both are Advisor I-II positions, one  based out of Lake Region HS and MS in Naples, and the other serves Central (Corinth), Nokomis (Newport), and Searsport middle and high schools.

METS’s partner program, The Maine Educational Opportunity Center,  is now accepting applications for an Advisor I-II position, with a territory that includes Hancock and Washington counties.

Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until a suitable pool of candidates is found.
