Margaret Chase Smith Public Affairs Scholarship

UMaine is pleased to announce the Margaret Chase Smith Public Affairs Scholarship for 2016-2017. This is a scholarship for independent undergraduate research on a topic of public policy importance.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Student must be a Maine resident, currently enrolled at UMaine for 12 credits or more
    ·Be an undergraduate student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and
    ·         Have completed 40 degree hours prior to the current semester.

The amount of the 2016 – 2017 Margaret Chase Smith Public Affairs Scholarship will be $3,500 ($1,750 Fall/$1,750 Spring). The deadline for student applications is noon onFriday, April 8, 2016.
