Good students are not born - it takes hard work, practice and commitment. Your academic success is important if you're thinking about going to college. As a METS student, you're well on your way to learning and developing new skills that will help provide you with many options in the future...but that still depends on your commitment and hard work. Meet with your METS advisor regularly so you'll have all the information you'll need to be a successful student!

Meeting regularly with your METS advisor is a great way to learn and develop your personal and academic skills. METS workshops can help you learn different/better ways to study and manage your time, can give you ideas on how to manage stress from a busy schedule, and how to become a better student (even if you're a good one already!). You'll also learn more about yourself along the way. With all that, you'll be well prepared by the time you go to college. Check out METS workshops and the latest handouts by clicking here.

Searching for colleges on-line has never been easier! You can access specific college information on the school's website or even perform your own college search by using a free search site such as www.studentaid.ed.gov. College websites will allow you to find out anything you want about a school, including information on how and when to apply, admissions requirements, information about academic programs and majors, sports, financial aid, life on campus, college classes and much more. Some of the sites have videos that will give you a feel for the campus.
