image of mets alumni, JenniferAs a child, Jennifer was the kid that was made fun of because she didn't have great grades. Then when she came to high school, she looked into the Vocational program and METS program and they both have helped her to learn about careers.

A turning point for Jennifer was when she found out that she was going to have help from the TRiO programs throughout the process of financial aid, college applications and so on.

Jen, her TRiO counselor, helped her to look for colleges, research majors, and helped her to understand what it takes to get to college.

One special accomplishment was that throughout her whole middle and high school career, she thought she would never get on the honor roll and this year, her senior year, she finally got on the honor roll for 2 quarters in a row.

Her future plans are to receive her RN license and work in the pediatrics ward.

She will be the first in her family to attend college, and it will help her to soon live her dream.
