image of mets alumniWhen Danielle was a sophomore she was encouraged to enroll in her school’s Allied Health Certified Nursing Assistant program - she knew she would love it. By her junior year she had earned her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate and has aspirations of becoming a registered nurse. She currently works in a nursing home as a nurse’s aid and continues to save for college. Her job at the nursing home is particularly rewarding because it involves helping people.

Maine Educational Talent Search has helped Danielle in many ways. She has greatly appreciated the assistance her advisor provided in helping her prepare for the SAT’s as well as completing college applications and essays. She appreciates that her METS advisor, Echo Lowell, is always available to answer even the little questions.

Danielle is very proud of her strong B average (87.5 GPA) as well as her certification as a nurse’s aid – and also proud of her many college acceptances!

Danielle plans to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Though she has many acceptances from universities, she plans to attend a University in Maine. Her long-term goal is to complete a Master of Science in Nursing. She knows that as a registered nurse she will have many job options as well as job security.
